An iconic beer concept, targeting a wide age group and designed to be internationally marketable, these were the focus. The metallic blue foil label with central star cut holes creates an eye catching contrast by utilising the light that passes through the bottle.

CONSTRUCTION

The stars metaphorically represent the past and future and were constructed out of four ellipses. By doing so, the star is both horizontally and vertically balanced and yet is still recognizable as a star rather than a diamond. Different orientations for the stars were considered however the vertical alignment was chosen as this best represented the message that it is our past that provides us with the foundation and support to endure the future.

EMBLEM

The letter “B” was constructed with the idea of a ribbon being wrapped around. Since the stars represented the past and future, the long strip worked as a good metaphor to represent time.

Once the basic shape of the logo was constructed alternating tones of metallic gradient fills were applied to allow the logo to appear as if it is being wrapped around. The metallic finish also allows the logo to feel cold, smooth and refreshing.

FINAL LOGO

The typeface of the logo was chosen to compliment the boldness of the emblem. It features a strong and modern personality that not only attracts a broad audience but provides flexibility to a wide range of varying marketing campaigns.

FINAL LOGO

The stars played an important role in the packaging of this product. They are the main feature of the bottle design and allows light to pass through. Foil packaging was chosen to compliment the metallic gradient and overall design was kept minimal to allow the brand to become the feature of the packaging and speak for itself.
